Production began on May 8, 2017, when one of the writers of the show announced on Twitter that the writing staff was in full swing mapping and writing the fourth season.

There are currently no plans for Alfred Enoch to return to the show as he is filming another show in another country, however, Pete Nowalk is hopeful that he will return at some point in the season.
In "He's Dead", Alfred Enoch appears as Wes. The new storyline for his character suggests that he will be in at least one other episode.
There is around a one or two month time jump when the series returns, and they will be starting their second semester of their second year of law school.
A three-week break will occur after "Ask Him About Stella", and the season will return with the crossover episode. The break is due to the 2018 Olympic Winter Games being held over the next couple of weeks.
